London’s Courage Took

Update: the pub quiz at The Mayflower was cancelled by the pub. So after a huddle we decided to move the venue closer to London Bridge station, to a pub with a quiz called Arch 33 in Flat Iron Square, the venue here has been updated. Then we can move on to The Mayflower after the quiz.

Round 2 of the Courage meetups on July 4th is fittingly at the Mayflower Pub – this restored 16th-century pub is named after the ship that chartered the Pilgrim Fathers, who left London from that pub on the first ship of pilgrims sent to the USA.

This pub books up fast and July 4th falls on their Tuesday Pub Quiz nights, oh what an evening filled with historical facts it will be! It also has a beer garden hanging over the river Thames.

The Quiz starts at 8 pm. I reserved the table for 7pm so we can order food and beers and chat before the Quiz Master starts. I believe the entrance fee is £2 per person….but whichever team wins the quiz, wins the pot of money. Hopefully, we can win and donate the bounty to the show!

Taking part in the quiz requires a table so I have a table reserved for 7 people – please RSVP asap so I know to add more and please cancel if your plans change.

Yes, I know it is a pain to get to and a weekday but the Jubilee and Overground lines will get you within a 5-minute walk and fun is guaranteed. See you there – Gigi
