Lazaruswaard picknick, Culemborg

How about a picnic on the idyllic little beach, next to the marina (North-East), near the old town of Culemborg? If the weather allows it, of course (Plan A). So bring your own food, bought or self-made, drinks, a picnic rug and possibly swimming gear.

By car: There is free parking (so far) on the other side of the dyke (levee) on Palambusplaats.
If you arrive by rail then a fairly short walk is doable, either through the town or along the railroad and over the dyke.
