Copper Country Lunch to Celebrate JCD
After the sudden loss of John C. Dvorak, I’d like to meet some other producers of No Agenda in the Upper Peninsula to reminisce about his contributions to the show and to our lives. In true Dvorak style, we will meet in a combination restaurant/railroad museum that used to be the passenger terminal for the old Copper Range Railroad, a shortline that served the copper mines in the Keweenaw Peninsula back in the day when copper was king. Trains good, planes bad! Parking is easy and we could walk over to Roy’s Pasties & Bakery next door to get dessert if we want to futher drown our grief in donuts and muffins. Families with children welcome.
Please RSVP so I can have ammo to persuade the Copper Range Depot managment to let us use their back room. Regardless of how many producers can attend, this will be a fun meetup in a historic location within sight of the world’s heaviest and widest double-decked vertical-lift bridge, the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. JCD would have loved this. I’ll have my knght ring on and printouts of John’s and Adam’s heads on sticks for our table. When you walk in, ask for the No Agenda meetup table with Sir Timothy.
Sir Timothy of No Fixed Title,
Baron of the Copper Country and Upper Peninsula
